Here are a few comments from some of my recent tours:
A family group with almost 70 years between oldest and youngest made up of first-time London visitors and repeat travelers, we can be a handful for tour guides. But Sue managed to keep everyone engaged (from the teens to the grandparents!) and made the day fun and educational! Sue's wit, knowledge (of ALL the things), flexibility, and willingness to accommodate our whims made her an incredible part of our London experience. We commented several times throughout the week (after we had spent a day with Sue) that we wished we had her with us. Highly recommend Sue. We will definitely be looking her up again when we return.
" I have had many experiences with guides. Most have been fine. But I have just returned from a trip to Oxford, Cambridge. St. Albans, and London with Sue Hyde, and she was/is the best guide ever. She is a fount of energy, warmth, sensitivity, and infectious enthusiasm. She is efficient and an uncomplaining solver of any problem you may encounter—or cause." Dr N. S. Chicago Oct 2021
"I cannot say enough positive things about Sue. She was superb! I would want her to guide any of my future trips in England. She is thoughtful, personable, organized, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of British history which we thoroughly enjoyed. She was attentive to our needs and interests. I was impressed by her effort to anticipate any eventuality and be ready for it. Thanks to her effort, we had a wonderful experience." Rebecca. Ohio. Oct 2021
"Really enjoyed Sue's tour up the pubs of Sydenham High Street the other week. Have lived here for fifteen years and it was great to discover so much new stuff about the neighbourhood. Sue's a great guide, really enthusiastic and obviously knows her Sydenham onions. Highly recommended!" Luke - London April 2021
"Sue is incredible! We organized a corporate tour at the British Museum for 20ppl. The British Museum asked Sue to deliver the tour, to our luck: she wasn’t just knowledgeable and courteous, but she was also funny and energetic, and you could really see she loved what she did. Everybody loved the tour! I fully recommend Sue; esp. if you ever want to invite your colleagues over for a couple of hours in the British Museum! EP Corporate Group - Oct 2019."
